Our staff is experiencing
wonderful success with the digital GN ReSound Canta hearing instrument.
Canta’s Laser technology enhances important
speech cues. It continuously reduces undesired noise while desired
sounds are brought more sharply into focus. So Canta not only recognizes
speech more quickly but also boosts amplification only at the instant
when speech is present. This device reacts quickly and it reduces
the volume of background noise, even between the syllables of spoken
words.
The result is
superior sound quality, optimum speech clarity and a new level of
listening comfort. Feature for feature, nothing compares with the
technological breakthroughs available in this fine product.
| "The
Canta must be the finest of them all! I had breakfast
with 6 or 7 church friends and was able to converse
with each of them from where I sat. Thank you Mr. Thompson."

We have had enthusiastic response to our new Assistive
Listening Devices. These devices include:
Amplified
telephones have a volume control and many special features including
redial, hold and memory dials. Amplified cordless phones with special
features are also available.
TV listening devices with wireless technology allow
your family members to hear the television at a normal volume level
while you listen at the volume you prefer. Simply plug the transmitter
directly into your TV and enjoy listening through your personal
headset.
Personal amplifiers
offer one-to-one assistive listening for the hearing impaired. These
systems provide a microphone and an amplifier with an attach cord.
The speaker talks into the microphone while a listener wears a headset
and speaks through the amplifier.
Sonic Alert products are designed to help people
with impaired hearing stay in touch with the world around them.
This is done by flashing lights around the home or office to let
you know when the doorbell or telephone is ringing, your baby is
crying, or your alarm has gone off.
The Sonic Boom
Alarm Clock, a unique clock guaranteed to wake up even the heaviest
sleepers, combines an audio alarm, flashing lights and a vibrator
to assure wake-up alert.
Many of these products work with any lamp you may
already have in your home. Simply plug the lamp into any outlet
on the product and the new system is ready to use.

you a brochure.

Levi, born last fall. They have a daughter, McKay, who is three
years old.
Four new grandchildren within four months brings
the total to eleven for Jim and Judy Thompson.
Dave Axford attended the Tri-State Hearing Aid Convention
at Jantzen Beach in Portland, Oregon. There he received continuing
education on trends and technology for hearing aid amplification.
Jim and Judy, accompanied by Rod and his wife Mary,
attended a convention hosted by Sonus in Cancun, Mexico. New developments
in the hearing industry and product improvements highlighted this
meeting attended by top producers throughout the nation. When not
in meetings, Jim and Judy enjoyed touring surrounding sights including
the ruins at Chichen Itza and the ecological gardens at Xcarat.
